Attended by over 3500 people over 10 days in the Dunedin CBD, The Retro Games Lounge was an interactive display of iconic ‘80s and ‘90s home computer games. You could walk in off the street, free of charge, and play classics such as Donkey Kong, Ms. Pac-Man, and Space Invaders on the original machines, set-up in one of eight gaming stations. These games, consoles and computers were selected from what is arguably the biggest retro gaming collection in New Zealand. The owner's collection fills two houses, and in this beautifully designed project he shared it with the public.
