Eliana Gray

Eliana Gray is an artist living in Ōtepoti. Their poetry, art criticism and essays are widely published and anthologised in Aotearoa and overseas. You can find their written work littered about the internet and in print in places such as: Landfall, Takahē, Cordite, Overland and Art News Aotearoa. They mentor writers, teach creative writing through their 'Nest' workshop series, and support young musicians through their work with Girls Rock Aotearoa and their To The Front programmes. They have lived in Ōtepoti for 18 years, which is the longest they have ever lived anywhere.

This project reflects a deep, lived connection to place. Through poetry, image, and collage, it traces an honest and shifting response to the city, moving with coastlines, swamps, and everyday encounters. Each work invites you in, offering space to reflect, respond, and contribute your own perspective on Ōtepoti.
